Beautiful museum-house. I can tell the man who organized it took great care and pride in making the exhibit as informative and reverent as possible to the work of 'El Greco'.

Pretty cool! It's a lot bigger than it looks like on the outside, and showcases some of El Greco's paintings as well as his actual house.

On Saturdays entrance is free, so it's quite a nice little detour to take if you're touring Toledo and want a break from the hills.

They have lockers for your belongings and the facilities are very clean. No line.

The staff at the front were lovely, but the rest had the manners of correctional officers. It was difficult to see anything amidst the poorly controlled crowd flow. Given that neither El Greco lived there, nor are many of the paintings his, I wouldn't really recommend paying to enter when greater works are accessible in the Prado.

Vast collections of the legendary Greco. But the museum is just an ordinary house with no history lineage. It was initially thought the place where Greco used to live but it was not. Anyways the museum was nice with collections from some other artists too.

Without going in deep about El Greco's style, the museum advirtises as an incredible experience through his life and paint style. I found neither of those experiences. The museum has just a handful of El Greco's artworks (being the best ones scattered around more serious museums), with the main collection being the Apostoles Paintings. The place is filled with his student's and followers creations and, worst of all, plagued with modern art that totally breaks the aesthetic of this house completely.

It does seem like a popular spot for tourist groups though, so it might be a little crowded.
